A Private World
on Cascade Bay

Heronwood Estate is unlike any camp experience you have encountered. Situated on a sweeping private bay on the southern shore of Orcas Island, this historic 200-acre estate has been carefully stewarded for generations — its old-growth forests, meadows, and miles of untouched shoreline preserved in their wild state.

We host no more than thirty guests at any time. Each stay is entirely private — your group alone on the estate. Whether you arrive for a summer retreat, a family reunion, a leadership gathering, or simply to disappear into the Pacific Northwest, Heronwood is your own kingdom for as long as you are here.

Lodging Crafted for
this Place

Every structure on the estate was built with the landscape in mind — cedar and stone sourced from the island, designs that borrow their geometry from the forest canopy above. Beds are dressed in European linen. Mornings begin with private chef service.
