Aldo Romero - Tango Maestro, Dancer, Performer
Aldo Romero lives in Buenos Aires, where he has taught and performed for over 20 years. He is a true “milonguero” who generously shares his experiences from the milongas of Buenos Aires in his classes. Over the years, he has studied with several of the genre’s masters, including Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, Mingo Pugliese and Esther Amelio, Natalia Games and Gabriel Angio, Carolina Bonaventura and Demián García, Facundo Piñeiro and Vanesa Villalba.
Aldo is currently the host of De Caravana and El Milongón de la Tradicional milongas at Salon Marabú in Buenos Aires. He currently performs in La Ventana Tango Show, the traditional tango show in San Telmo dancing with the legendary dancer Alicia Monti. He is a member of the El Cxuce Escuela de Adultos ballet and is a featured artist in Sol y Luna in Denver, Colorado.
In recent years, Aldo has earned multiple titles, including Champion in the Senior Category at the 2026 Buenos Aires City Dance Championship, Champion of the 2025 Campana Tango Championship and the 2026 Salta Championship with Marcela Pilatti (Senior Category), finalist of the World Tango Championship in 2004, 2010 and 2011 with Ana Lia Carrizo, and was a finalist in the 2024 World Tango Championship alongside Cynthia Giannini. Earlier in his career, he won the Metropolitan Tango Championship (Senior Category) in 2011.
Aldo’s teaching is focused on the “milongueros” techniques and the nuances of the true Argentine tango from the milongas of Buenos Aires. His secret power is the progressive technique to teach fast paced milonga rhythms.
